A tough choice
Should you do:
- What you want to do?
- What you think your audience wants you to do?
- What your audience actually wants?
It’s a tough choice, isn’t it? I think the best thing that can happen is for #1 and #3 to coincide.
My fingers are crossed.

I always think that a writer should write for their ideal audience – themselves. They aren’t going to be the only ones who enjoy it.
And that’s where the first conflict lies for me. I know that I should write to please myself, but I fear – what if others aren’t as moved by it as I am?
I know – this fear is unfounded. But then emotions usually win over logic.
You aren’t going to be the only one who is moved. Hopefully you will figure it out. Good luck.
